The company successfully concluded its participation in CWIX26, one of NATO’s largest interoperability exercises, contributing to the advancement of Portugal’s military communications and information systems capabilities.
EID has successfully concluded its participation in CWIX26 (Coalition Warrior Interoperability eXploration, eXperimentation, eXamination and eXercise), one of NATO’s largest and most significant interoperability exercises. The event brought together approximately 4,000 experts from Allied and partner nations, providing a multinational environment to test, validate, and enhance interoperability across a wide range of operational systems.
Throughout the exercise, EID successfully achieved all defined objectives within the scope of Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Core Services, supporting preparations for the upcoming Spiral 6 validation in support of the Portuguese Army and the Portuguese Navy.
EID also carried out the Assessment, Verification and Validation (AV&V) of the Portuguese Army’s Protected Core Networking (PCN) Spiral 4 solution, confirming Portugal’s readiness to deploy this critical communications infrastructure in joint and combined operations.
In addition, EID enabled both the Portuguese Army and the Portuguese Navy to operate communication modules capable of delivering the required Communities of Interest (CoI) services. These capabilities were instrumental in supporting the successful AV&V of both the LAND and MARITIME components, further contributing to the development of truly multi-domain operational capabilities.
The results achieved reflect the strong collaboration between EID, the Portuguese Army, and the Portuguese Navy, as well as the dedication and technical expertise demonstrated by all teams involved throughout the exercise.
Participation in CWIX26 reinforces EID’s commitment to the development of advanced Communications and Information Systems (CIS) solutions, supporting the Portuguese Armed Forces in building increasingly interoperable, resilient, and future-ready capabilities.
By contributing to NATO interoperability and the evolution of military communications systems, EID continues to position itself as a trusted partner in defence innovation and technological excellence.
