The Portuguese company EID S.A. and Damen Shipyards Group have signed a “Declaration of Intent”, expressing their mutual intent to strengthen cooperation in the naval shipbuilding market.

This initiative builds on earlier and successful cooperation in Dutch and other naval projects. In the near future a clear focus will be on the upcoming programs of the Portuguese Navy. But also in the wider NATO/EU and global naval market a joint approach will be considered. Both companies are also interested and ready to support the Portuguese Navy to sustain and maintain its Fleet in Portugal. EID and Damen’s support would comprise of the development of indigenous Integrated Logistic Support knowledge and capabilities. EID S.A. and Damen would like to strengthen and expand this initiative through further collaboration with other Portuguese stakeholders.
