The Ministry of Defense of Bangladesh placed an order for CD-116 field switchboards, under the ongoing tactical communications modernization program of the Army. The units are to be delivered by the fourth quarter of the current year.

The contract award was the outcome of an international public tender launched by the Bangladesh MoD, in which EID equipment proved to be the best option, both in technical and functional terms, as well as pricewise: in summary, the best value for the customer money.
