Jo\u00e3o II is a multi-purpose naval platform;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>With the capability to operate unmanned equipment, it is becoming known as the National Navy\u2019s first drone carrier;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>EID is installing the entire C4I (Communications, Command, Control, Computers and Intelligence) solution, using the latest Integrated Communications Control System 7 (ICCS7).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">EID, the Portuguese company specialising in the development of advanced C4I communication systems for defence, will implement all networked communications systems and subsystems on the NRP D. Jo\u00e3o II, the Portuguese Navy\u2019s new vessel, which was launched on 7 April at the Damen Shipyards Galati shipyard in Romania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the development of this new multi-purpose naval platform, as highlighted by the Portuguese Navy in its official statement on the matter, available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinha.pt\/pt\/media-center\/Noticias\/Paginas\/cerimonia-de-flutua%C3%A7%C3%A3o-do-futuro-nrp-d--joao-II-na-Romenia.aspx\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Known as the Portuguese Navy\u2019s first drone carrier, the vessel is a multi-purpose naval platform capable of operating unmanned equipment, thus representing a new generation of ships designed to carry out a wide range of missions, including maritime surveillance, humanitarian support, scientific research and environmental monitoring.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>EID installs the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">entire<\/span> network system and ICCS7 on a Portuguese Navy vessel for the first time<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">EID\u2019s long-standing and well-established partnership with the Portuguese Navy has now resulted in the company installing the entire C4I (Communications, Command, Control, Computers and Intelligence) solution on a Portuguese Navy vessel for the first time, utilising the latest Integrated Communications Control System 7 (ICCS7).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ICCS7 ensures an advanced, secure and highly resilient technological environment. The system integrates multiple domains, with different levels of security classification, complying with national and NATO requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NRP D.
