Ricardo Rodrigues on systems engineering, teamwork and delivering solutions at EID<\/h3>\n

Developing complex technological systems requires not only strong technical expertise but also the ability to manage projects, expectations and relationships with clients. At EID, this balance is part of the daily work of the Systems Engineering and Contract Management teams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With a background in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering<\/strong>, Ricardo Rodrigues<\/strong> works as a Systems Engineer<\/strong> in Contract Management, where he is involved in the development, delivery and validation of solutions for customers.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMy main responsibilities focus on all the engineering work necessary to develop solutions that meet customer needs, as well as on the delivery and validation of the final product.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Beyond system development, his role also includes ensuring that any issues that may arise after delivery are addressed efficiently.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is essential to ensure effective problem mitigation and resolution capabilities so that we can provide a swift and efficient response whenever problems arise after the delivery of systems.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Balancing engineering and contract management<\/h3>\n

Working at the intersection of technical engineering and contract management<\/strong> requires a constant balance between technical decision-making and project oversight.<\/p>\n

For Ricardo, delivering a robust system is only part of the challenge \u2014 managing changes and maintaining alignment with the client throughout the project is equally important.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIt is essential to have the ability to manage the contract in the face of changes and obstacles that may arise during the execution of the project, ensuring the satisfaction of both parties.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Maintaining a close and effective relationship with the client<\/strong> is therefore a key element in the development of successful solutions.<\/p>\n

Collaboration across teams<\/h3>\n

One of the aspects that surprised Ricardo the most after joining EID was the strong sense of collaboration across different areas of the company.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWithout a doubt, the family atmosphere at EID. Although we are already a medium-sized company, the constant collaboration between the different areas is fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Being able to interact with colleagues from sales to production<\/strong> allows for a broader understanding of how solutions are developed and delivered.<\/p>\n

A culture built on trust and continuous improvement<\/h3>\n

According to Ricardo, EID\u2019s culture can be described as healthy and trustworthy<\/strong>, with a clear commitment to continuous improvement.<\/p>\n

Even in the relatively short time he has been with the company, he has noticed significant progress in strengthening the organisational culture and working environment.<\/p>\n

Advice for future engineers at EID<\/h3>\n

For those considering joining EID \u2014 particularly in Engenharia de Sistemas<\/strong> \u2014 Ricardo highlights the importance of patience, curiosity and openness to learning.<\/p>\n

\u201cApproaching work with openness, determination and humility to learn makes all the difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With many colleagues having more than 25 years of experience in the company<\/strong>, new team members have the opportunity to learn from a wealth of knowledge and expertise.<\/p>\n
