Production and Logistics

• Printed circuit board and mechanical CAD (Computer Aided Design) service bureau, with comprehensive simulation capabilities. The PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design is supported by sophisticated tools such as Zuken’s CR-5000® and Board Station from Mentor Graphics®. SolidWorks 3D® modeller and AutoCAD® are used for mechanical design;

• Test engineering department, which develops the adequate tools to thoroughly check product compliance against its design specifications;

• Industrial engineering, bridging the gap between laboratorial prototypes and series production equipment and

• Logistic services, including procurement, purchasing, stock and warehouse management as well as conformity analysis of purchased items.

In addition, EID has its own production facility, where assembling and test of the in-house developed equipment takes place, using the most advanced technologies and in accordance with the stringent requirements of military specifications. The assembling line includes high speed pick & place machines (21.000 components/hour) able to handle components with sizes down to 0,1 x 0,05 mm as well as fine and ultra-fine pitch surface-mount components and ball grid arrays.
