TMC Tactical Media Converter

The TMC Tactical Media Converter is a compact and rugged optical converter from two Ethernet copper twisted pair channels to light signals and vice versa for transmission over optical fibre cable, and vice versa.
The unit is particularly useful whenever an intercom system (for instance the ICC-201  ) is installed in the vehicle turret and an optical cable is intended for inter vehicular connection accessible from the hull: to avoid the usage of an expensive optical capable slip ring, the connection from the turret to the hull can be based on 10/100 Mbps Ethernet copper twisted pairs over a cheaper electrical slip ring, the signal being converted from electrical to optical by the TMC in the vehicle hull.
